It’s very thick and gorgeous. I ordered a small based on sizing guidelines. My chest is 35 inches, waist 29, hips 41. The sweater still has plenty of room for a loose casual look and is not at all tight. The wool is very thick and the color is bright. It’s like wearing a delicious hug on a cold day. I will definitely save up and buy another piece!
It’s everything it promised. Well made, great cut, the merino is soft and doesn’t itch. The color is beautiful. I was debating between S and M and sized up. I love the fit. Thanks L’Envers - truly beautiful.

I own two GEORGE jackets - one in brown and the other in rust red (both in merino-yak wool).
I received my first one in brown colour 2 years ago and I've been wearing it an insane amount of times ever since: this jacket has been through a lot!
But my GEORGE is still in perfect condition (no pilling even), which is quite amazing, given the crazy amount of wear it's gotten.
So I had to purchase a second GEORGE, because I simply can’t live without it. And also because this shade of rust red is the most gorgeous colour ever - I can’t get enough of it: how it goes from dark red to dark rust to brownish red, depending on the lightning.
This is a truly wonderful item of clothing, and you can tell it was made with lots of love. Julie and Miguel: thank you! ♥

This cardigan is my second sweater from L’envers and it is just as lovely as my first (brown Stephanie pullover). The cable and seed stiching are a gorgeous textural combo and the port wine color is so beautiful and deep with multi-colored flecks. The wool is not super soft but I can tell it will soften up over time. Very warm and looks amazing over everything from graphic tees to button ups.
I absolutely love this sweater jacket, it looks great with everything and on its own. My favourite detail are the pockets, the way they are stitched into the sweater, shows such great care and attention to detail. This is the perfect piece for fall on its own, layering in the winter, a warm layer for spring or a beautiful piece for a cool summer evening. I know I will get so much wear out of it now and for years to come, this is definitely heirloom quality. Next time I will order the large for a little bit of an oversize, but this fits beautifully!

Lovely rich earthy rust red - a colour that perfectly suits dark-haired ladies like me. The fact that is was individually knitted in family-run workshops based in Spain makes it even more special. It features oversized cut ideal for layering, and comes with a high neck. Totally worth the wait for a one-of-a-kind, ethically made piece that will easily become part of my wardrobe forever.
