Miguel's knitting atelier
Mr and Mrs Sánchez were born in Bejar, one of the strongholds of the textile industry in Spain. They started at a very young age working in the flourishing and dynamic textile factories of the time. Casimiro was a weaver, Marcelina worked with silk and was in charge of winding the machines.
After living in France for about ten years in Castres, where they continued to work in the textile industry, they returned to their homeland in the late 1980s and opened their own clothing workshop. It’s the last one standing in the region! Their main goal: quality with a particular care brought to the finishing touches. These high standards can all be seen in the details.
A family story since Miguel Ángel, their son, joined the ranks in 2008. The third generation is already involved in the life of the workshop: Rocio, 6 years old, plays daily after school with her dolls in the middle of machines from the beginning of the century and of the remailleuses on which her grandmother sews the collars of our jumpers.
